SOTD: 5/26/08

Souvenirs, Souvenirs by Johnny Halliday.

Boy, the way he looks in this You Tube video is much more "Larry from Three's Company" than I expected, but still, it's a fun song. :) And it was 1960, so maybe that counts for something? Maybe?

My God what a beautiful day!

Seriously. Living in Northern Illinois where all of November and February--and good chunks of the remaining months--are totally gray and miserable, I always have that 'burning daylight' feeling on days like this.

As if there's a bank of beautiful weather and if you stay inside on good days, you're just going to lose them. Kind of like unused flex spending money. Actually *just* like unused flex spending money...
1. Wasting good days really sucks arbitrarily, just like losing tax-free money
2. You know full well that wasting a good day sucks, but it doesn't really make its true impression until a rainy day comes, just like lost tax-free money
3. Wasting a good day makes you hate the government, just like losing tax-free money

Ok, so I made that last one up.

But regardless, if you live near water or trees or the CN Tower or Kennesaw battlefield or Starbucks, GO OUTSIDE!

Cause then you can continue to update your blog via smrtphone. Ahhhh, technology. :)
